Systems & Networking Engineer
Basic Responsibilities & Duties:

Managing and Monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure.

Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, networking hardware, and system management tools.

Ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

Develop and maintain functional and secure networks.

Detailed Responsibilities & Duties

Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software, networking hardware, and system management tools
-
Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
-
Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes
-
Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
-
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
-
Participate in the design of information and operational support systems
-
Provide 2nd and 3rd level support
-
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
-
Moderate / Advanced Microsoft Windows Server Knowledge
-
Advanced NTFS Permissions and Security Group Knowledge
-
Develop, Maintain, & Implement Group Policy Objects
-
Deploy DHCP, Create Reservations, and DNS.
-
Microsoft Office 365 Administration
-
Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)
-
Configure and install software, servers, routers and other network devices
-
Monitor network performance and integrity
-
Design, Deploy, and Maintain Wireless Networks
-
Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure
-
Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
-
Mentor team members on technical issues
-
Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)
-
Communicate with users when needed
-
Maintain complete technical documentation
-
Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability
