Desktop Support Technician
Job Responsibilities:

Create Help Desk Tickets, Update Help Desk Tickets, Close Help Desk Tickets

Ability to learn VanderNet standards in quality of work and carry out those standards.

Good Understanding of all VanderNet’s Services and Product Offerings

Know Microsoft Office 365 Products

Know Google Business Email
-
Perform basic cable management
-
Perform reimaging of computers and install device drivers
-
Be on time to appointments, meetings, and project deadlines
-
Have a working knowledge of backups of workstations and servers.
-
Setup new users, workstations, and deploy VanderNet’s software
-
Setup new users on Servers and network devices
-
Install Printers and Setup Scan Folders
-
Basic Network Switch and Server Troubleshooting
-
Ability to terminate cable, troubleshoot, and fix ethernet cables
-
Ability to know when backups are working properly and how to restore files when necessary
-
Understand and Perform Data Backup & Recovery
-
Execute Employee Separation Protocols
-
Ability to Clone Hard Drives
-
Ability to Remove Spyware and Run Virus Scans
-
Understand and troubleshoot Battery Backup
-
Know how to resolve Microsoft Windows Issues
-

Educational / Certification Experience:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
College Training is an advantage
-
Numeracy and literacy skills

A+ Certification
-

3-5 Years Experience in Desktop Support
